AAbout Electronic Pool & Spa Sanitizers: We recommend that every pool or spa have at least an ionizer which will reduce chemicals 80% to 90%. For pools we recommend model PI-D, and for spas model SI-D, or Instant Ions model IONS-25 and a Copper Test kit model CTK. If you want total chemical free water in your pool, we recommend a THUNDER ozone generator model T2000 or T4000, model TMIS or T24MIS ozone mixing injector system, and an ionizer model PI-D. For a spa Model T500TS will provide total chemical free sanitation. A PURITY combination salt chlorine generator and ionizer is a great option if you do not mind a very low .1 to .2 ppm of chlorine. COST: PURITY costs less than other systems and our replacement electrodes cost less than other systems saving you even more money over time.

SAVINGS: You can make all the chlorine you need for a fraction of the cost of buying chemicals. For example the cost for electricity to operate PURITY model P30RI for 12 hours every day, for a month, at $.15 per kilowatt hour, is $1.60, and 80% of this energy is heat that is transferred to the pool water to help heat the pool. Most other bands cost 2 to 10 times as much to operate and only about 50% of that is heat that is transferred to the pool water.

CONVENIENCE: With our systems you will be enjoying your pool instead of buying, hauling, and storing expensive chemicals. After initial start-up, there is nothing else to add to your water for sanitation. To adjust the amount of chlorine you need, all it takes is a turn of the dial. Once the proper setting has been determined it needs little attention.

SALT: All our PURITY systems require only 3,000 ppm of fine grain, untreated, granular salt (table salt), or rock salt (water softener salt) which costs about $3 for a 40 lb bag. This equates to 1 tsp. per gallon, or 2 cups per 100 gallons in a spa, or 200 lbs. per 10,000 gallons in a pool. If you have an existing pool you may need much less than this amount as the chlorine you have been using is converted back to salt after it is used.. This low salt level will not damage your pool or your pool equipment. You will only need to add one or two bags of salt to your pool once or twice a year due to water replacement.

CHEMISTRY: Because our systems are used with an ionizer the chorine level is maintained at 1/10th the normal chorine levels. The only byproducts to the chlorine electrolysis process are oxygen which is beneficial in killing organics and bacteria, and a small amount of hydrogen which is immediately rendered harmless as it is released into the atmosphere. Your pH will have only a slight increase as this process is nearly neutral. You will need to keep your pH between 7.2 and 7.6, add 3 lbs of Sodium Bromide (Bromine Salt) per 10,000 gallons, and keep 60 to 80 ppm of stabilizer (cyanuric acid) in your pool water if your pool is exposed to sunlight. Not adding the Sodium Bromide, or a low stabilizer level will make our systems work harder to maintain the chlorine level in your pool water.

MAINTENANCE: PURITY electrodes should be checked yearly, but may never need cleaned.

WATER QUALITY: Our systems produce chlorine and bromine all day long so you will have a continuous supply of chlorine, and you will have no more chloramines to irritate your eyes or skin, or chlorine odor caused by chloramines. When used with an ionizer only a low .1 to .2 ppm of chlorine is required further improving the water quality. The salt minerals in your water will make your water feel softer. With PURITY you will have softer, cleaner, safer and healthier water.
